CFC Carbon-Carbon

Whilst offering traditional Metallic Fixtures and grids we also offer a design service transitioning from heavy uneconomical, thermally inefficient metal fixtures to a CFC design.

The main benefits of CFC over metal at high temperature are:M&M pics 004

  • Lower Thermal Mass and Increased material strength mean thinner lighter fixtures and potentially more charge in the furnace.
  • The following graphic summarises these benefits allowing quicker turn around time of furnace loads and greater fuel efficiency whilst maximising available furnace space.
  • Thermally stable (minimal thermal expansion means no warpage leading to longer fixture life without mid campaign repairs, welding etc)
